Design for Sustainable Systems: A Synthesis of Engineering, Art, and Ecology

The presentation will include a review of the principles of hydrology and its relationship with terrestrial and acquatic ecosystems. The impacts of urban, suburban and agricultural land use practices on these systems will be reviewed. Sustainable planning, design and development and how they relate to the long term health of hydrological systems will be explored, including the benefits of many "Green infrastructures". Case studies will be presented to illustrate how these sustainable practices are applied.
Change of Meeting Date!
Please note that we have changed the meeting date from the third Wednesday of the month to the second Wednesday. Many members have indicated that the third Wednesday conflicts with other professional organizations so we will be having our meetings on the second Wednesday each month this year.
Remember, attendance at a Chapter meeting with an approved technical program counts as 1 PDH toward your continuing education requirements.
