Chapter President Emeritus

Andrew Gremer, P.E.
Andy, now retired, worked as a reliability and standards substation engineer in the transmission systems department with Commonwealth Edison Co. Andy serves or has served our chapter as President, Membership Chairmen, Awards Chairman, Foundation Representative, Secretary and PAO Representative. In addition, he has served on the ISPE Executive Committee and various other state level committees.

Robert Hartwell, P.E.
Bob is an Environmental Engineer specializing in industrial water supply, wastewater treatment and air emissions control. He is currently Chief Engineer with the firm of Mactec Engineering and Consulting. Bob has served the chapter as Newsletter Editor, Chapter Vice-President, and Chapter President. Chapter Vice - President

Lee Pallasch, PE

Lee, now semi-retired, worked for twenty-nine years at the GTE manufacturing operation in Northlake, IL as a Plant Engineer and Electrical Facilities Maintenance Supervisor before retiring when the facility was closed.  He now works part-time with his brother, an electrical contractor, in the north and northwest suburban area.

Chapter Secretary

Karen Preston-Wozniak
Karen is an accomplished Principal Test Engineer in test development with over 15 years of experience, utilizing an applied expertise in electrical/electronic circuits and C programming code.  She has special expertise involving object oriented C/C++ technologies for a more holistic approach in the architecture for precision test programs. Additional skill sets include designing custom embedded digital electronic circuits, debugging the custom code for proper user interface and uploading test result data on the network system.

Ben Miller, P.E.
Ben is an Electrical Engineer specializing in technology development, product safety, and commercial appliance design. His company, B. Miller Engineering, provides consulting services to manufacturers in various industries. He can be reached by phone at 847/948-7746, or by fax at 847/948-7340.

Chapter Representative

Dan Monnier, P.E.
Dan in an Electrical Engineer who designs analog electronics for label printers at Zebra Technologies Corporation. Dan is a graduate of Purdue University, has served in the Navy and has also worked designing home organs for Kimball and Lowrey. Dan has previously served the Chapter as Scholorship Chairman and has participated in Mathcounts.
