Andrew Gremer, P.E.
Andy, now retired, worked as a reliability and standards substation engineer in the
transmission systems department with Commonwealth Edison Co. Andy serves or has served our
chapter as President, Membership Chairmen, Awards Chairman, Foundation Representative,
Secratary and PAO Representative. In addition, he has served on the ISPE Executive
Committee and various other state level committees.
Dr. Alexandru Beloiu,
P.E.
Alex is a Mechanical Engineer, specializing in 3D CAD and analysis of
mechanical components for ash handling systems. He is currently a Project Engineer in the
New Product Development Department for United Conveyor Corporation of Waukegan Illinois.

Robert Hartwell, P.E.
Bob is an Environmental Engineer specializing in industrial water supply, wastewater
treatment and air emissions control. He is currently a Principal Engineer with the firm of
Mactec Engineering and Consulting. Bob has served the
chapter as Newsletter Editor, Chapter Vice-President, and Chapter President. He can be

Ben is an Electrical Engineer specializing in technology development, product safety, and
commercial appliance design. His company, B.

Dan Monnier, P.E.
Dan in an Electrical Engineer who designs analog electronics for label printers at Zebra
Technologies Corporation. Dan is a graduate of Purdue University, has served in the Navy
and has also worked designing home organs for Kimball and Lowrey. Dan has previously
served the Chapter as Scholorship Chairman and has participated in Mathcounts.

Lionel Gomberg
Lionel have been involved with our chapter mathcounts program for 10+ years. He has served
the chapter in various capacities, most recently as the Annual Conference Co-chair and
also served on the State ISPE Board.
